February 21, 2025:
Bobbit, again met me when I got into the ferret room. She ate her soup off she went.

February 20, 2025:
Previous owner: Hi I'm wondering how Bobbit is ?? great bill of health from our vet ??? i don't want her in pain.
Shelter Response: I've been in touch with the vet, we have her on antibiotic, she is improving and even eating her soup with meds out of a bowl on her own. We have her on the mend. Thanks for checking on her.

February 20, 2025:
It looks like I will be taking Bobbit to Seneca Falls tomorrow morning to see Dr. Dana. The appointment is at 8:30 am, it will take an hour to get there. I found a large hard mass in her abdomen about the size of a small lime. I checked with Dr. Sandra she said it could be an enlarged spleen.
I did a BG test her, the numbers were 83. She would not sleep curled up, when she walked it was slow as though she was in pain. I contacted Dr.Dana Monday morning they were booked solid for home visits but I was told they would squeeze us in on Friday at the practice. Darynn said she would get back to me Tuesday morning with a time. I started Bobbit on Moxy a few days ago, she has improved, brighter, moving like a ferret does when feeling well. This morning she got up when I came into the ferret room and for the first time ate her soup out of a bowl on her own.

February 15, 2025:
Bobbit is enjoying our duck soup daily sometimes twice a day if I can find where she is sleeping at soup time. She still insists on sitting on my lap and eating soup from a 5ml dropper. I'm fine holding her while she enjoys warm soup, she eats the entire 1/4 cup. Yesterday morning when I was holding her I discovered a hard mass about the size of a very small lime in her abdomen. She's eating, drinking and pooing but she looks like she is uncomfortable. I started her on Prednisone this morning, I am going to do my best to get her into see our vet this week.

January 24, 2025:
Previous owner: Good morning. Just checking in on Bobbit and seeing how she is doing. Would love to know is she made any friends.
Shelter Response: She is doing well. Bobbit was eating out of our mix when set her treat down. I closed the room for the night, she will get out of that room in the morning. She was introduced to Draco. They are not friends but they have no animosity toward one another. Bobbit sniffs Draco, he does the same to her. I'm there to supervise the introductions. She had made it clear there are others in the shelter she does not care to meet. Introductions take a long time, 30 + days usually. Time will tell if they will become best buds.

Initial Contact, February 28, 2022:
My name is Bonnie G. I have a 4 yr old beautiful female ferret named Bobbit. It saddens my heart to send this email. However I have seen a noticeable difference in my girl, from the research I have done it appears she is depressed due to being an only child in this home. I have spent the few weeks looking to maybe get her a playmate but have come to the realization that surrendering her would be the best for her. I would appreciate if we could have you find her a home.
