August 9, 2021: Hello Cyber friends and shelter supporters,
I've got some good news to share. A little girl was surrendered in August. Owner conveyed she could not afford to keep her, the little one was only 3 months old. The owner neglected to tell Mum is the little one was a biter, she drew blood moments after Mum picked her up. The good thing is Mum loves working with biters. Mum had Carmel giving lip kisses within days.
The day Miss Tina brought the 4 ferrets released from the court, she got to meet Carmel. Several weeks later Miss Tina came back to adopt Carmel. Carmel left to go live with Miss Tina on October 9, 2021. We love sharing good news. I'm off to go play!
Jazzy August 9, 2021: Hello Cyber friends and shelter supporters,
Lots going on here at the shelter, Mum took in 4 fur kids that were removed from their home by law enforcement for cruelty. They are fine now, Miss Tina was watching over them and bringing them back to health while things were moving in the courts. They were in a different shelter, once the court system finished their investigation they were transferred to us. Miss Tina brought them to us.
With new kids at the shelter we will be putting them on the Giving tree, we skipped last year because we didn't have any new kids in the shelter.
A reminder, the 2022 calendars are here and going fast, let Mum know if your interested in one or more. Mum can get 4 calendars into one priority envelope.
Signing off, Jazzy

August 9, 2021: Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters,
I told ya! Calender's are printed and will be in Mum's hands Sunday 8/22/21 before the end of August like I said. Cost is the same as last year $15.00 per calendar + shipping. Here are a few of the pictures that made the calendar. Mum is taking orders drop her a line if you would like one. I wanted to be in the calendar, but Mum said I was the shelter reporter, I didn't need to have my picture in the calendar too.
I'm off for a nap. Jazzy

August 9, 2021: Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters,
I have some good news, great news and sad news. I'm going to start with the good news.
We've had a couple of adoptions. Murr was surrendered needing medical intervention, Mum got him stable and kept him alive until she could get him to OFD on Monday morning. OFD said he was not sure he could help or keep him alive but Mum left Murr with OFD for a couple of days. Murr survived and came back to the shelter with meds on board for the next 14 days. A shelter supporter; Miss Katherine fell in love with Murr's story, she wanted to adopt him. Mum shrugged since Miss Katherine already has 3 of our kids. Boo, Logan and Parker so Mum saw no reason not let her come get Murr. Murr is doing well, Miss Katherine got him in for an ultra sound to see if they could figure out why his prostrate was causing problems. Adrenal disease was already ruled out. It turns out he has a cystic prostrate. He is going to need special medication for a very long time and possibly surgery in his future but he's happy in his new home.
More good news, Bear and Lydia found a new forever home, they left with their new family over the weekend.
Thanks to Mr. Tom; our great news is; we are going to have 2022 shelter calendar. They are being printed as I put this news together. The calendars should be ready to sell and ship by the end of august. I'll let you know when Mum has them in her hands. If you want to preorder that just let us know.
Now for the sad news, Lance left for Rainbow Bridge July 27, 2021. Mum knew he was slowing down that's why he and Mum handed over the news to me. Lance was 10 years old, he was a very old man.
You have all the news for now, your support is greatly appreciated.

July 7, 2021: Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters. How time is flying by, it's July already. I'm dropping in with news on clinic day with pictures. Miss Jamie surprised us by stopping in, she took lots of awesome pictures for us. It was a grand day with lots of ferret parents and their ferrets.
Miss Janette came to join in the fun, she met the new little guy Hendrick 18 MO. She went home without him but contacted Mum the next day to let her know she was coming back to get him. Miss Janette calls him Henry now.
So the day was perfect, not too hot; not too cold; many of our shelter supporters and some new folks joined us for the day. Lots of food. Mr Bill did the grilling, Mum was told by many that he grills the best hot dogs, Miss Donna took care of the food tables. OFD and Miss Mary M. were at the exam table. Miss Mary has not joined us in years, when Mum saw her she had a very big smile on her face. Miss Mary Ellen and Mr. Tom took care of the raffle ticket table and sale items. Miss Mary B. took care of setting up the raffle tables and taking care of the raffle. Miss Myla helped by calling out the raffle winners.
The workers we had here on Friday made clinic day a success, lots of set up to do before the big day. We had a lot of great help to get things ready for the next day. We are blessed with many shelter supporters. Thank you all for all you do to support us.
